Samsung recognized growing privacy concerns. People worry about accidentally sharing personal information in photos. Things like credit card numbers or home addresses sometimes appear in images. Samsung wants to stop this problem.

One new tool automatically finds and blocks sensitive details. The camera scans the image before you take it. If it sees a credit card number, it blurs the number instantly. The original image stays clear only for you. Shared photos show the blurred version. This happens directly on the device. No data gets sent to the cloud.

Another feature hides personal documents. Point the camera at a passport or driver’s license. The software recognizes the document type. It then automatically obscures key information like the ID number. Only the document’s outline remains visible. Users can choose to reveal the info later if needed.

Samsung also added a simpler way to blur backgrounds manually. Users can easily select objects or people behind the main subject. Tapping once applies a soft blur. This helps hide distracting or private background details quickly. It works for both photos and videos.

These tools are part of Samsung’s wider privacy push. The company stated user data security is a top priority. Making privacy controls easy and automatic was the goal. The features require no special setup. They work inside the standard Camera app.
