**Google Docs Adds Voice Notes Feature**
(Google Docs supports “Voice Annotation”)
Google announced today a big update for Google Docs. The new “Voice Annotation” tool lets people record spoken notes directly inside documents. This change helps users share ideas faster.
Now, people can add voice comments just like text comments. They click the comment button. Then they choose the microphone icon. They speak their thoughts. The audio note attaches right where their cursor is. Team members see the voice comment icon. They click it to listen.
Google says this tool helps people work together better. “Busy users need quick ways to give feedback,” said a Google Workspace manager. “Voice notes feel natural. They save time typing long messages.”
The feature is simple. Users record short audio clips. Their colleagues play them back later. This is useful for explaining complex edits. It also helps when typing is hard. People can capture ideas quickly while working.
Early testers like the feature. “I reviewed a report using voice notes,” said one marketing user. “It was much faster than typing everything. My team understood my points better hearing my tone.”
