Google has added new features to its online collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art...

Google has added new features to its online collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art using Google Lens. This update makes it easier for people to explore the Met’s vast artwork from anywhere. Users can now point their phone camera at an object or image and get instant information about related pieces in the Met’s collection.

<img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="size-medium wp-image-5057 aligncenter" src="https://www.bpovoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/c71c4cc958eef27442f2168345e5c4bd.jpg" alt="Google’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Online Collection Enhanced With Google Lens.

(Google’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Online Collection Enhanced With Google Lens.)

The integration uses visual recognition to match real-world items with artworks in the museum’s digital archive. It works with paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, and more. People can learn the story behind each piece, see high-resolution images, and find out where the original is displayed.

This tool builds on Google’s long-standing partnership with the Met. The museum first shared its collection online through Google Arts & Culture in 2011. Since then, millions have used the platform to view art they might never see in person. The new Google Lens feature adds a hands-on way to connect everyday sights with museum treasures.

For example, someone might see a vase in a store that reminds them of ancient pottery. By opening Google Lens and scanning the item, they could discover similar works held by the Met. The same applies to fashion, architecture, or even patterns in nature that echo artistic styles.

The Met’s online collection includes over 490,000 works. All are available for free through the Google Arts & Culture website and app. With this update, users do not need to type search terms or know artist names. They just look through their camera and let the technology do the work.

(Google’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Online Collection Enhanced With Google Lens.)

                 Google says the goal is to make art more accessible and engaging. The company believes everyone should be able to find meaning in cultural objects, no matter where they are.

Google has teamed up with Wayfair to launch a new AI tool that predicts trending home decor styles. The system analyzes real-time shopping data, social media activity, and seasonal patterns to spot what customers will want next. This helps suppliers prepare the right products at the right time.

(Google’s Wayfair Supplier AI Predicts Trending Home Decor Styles.)

The AI reviews millions of customer interactions every day. It looks at search terms, saved items, and recent purchases. It also checks images shared online to find common design themes. By doing this, it can forecast which colors, materials, and furniture types will become popular in the coming weeks.

Wayfair says this tool gives its suppliers a clear edge. They can adjust their inventory faster and avoid overstocking items that may not sell. Small businesses benefit too, as they get access to insights once only available to big retailers.

Google built the model using its cloud infrastructure and machine learning expertise. Wayfair provided years of shopping behavior data to train the system. Together, they created a platform that updates daily and sends alerts when new trends emerge.

Early tests show strong results. In one trial, the AI predicted a surge in earth-toned rugs two months before sales spiked. Suppliers who acted on the tip saw a 20% increase in orders compared to those who did not.

(Google’s Wayfair Supplier AI Predicts Trending Home Decor Styles.)

                 The tool is now live for all Wayfair suppliers in the U.S. Google plans to expand it to other retail categories later this year. Both companies say this is just the start of how AI can help make supply chains smarter and more responsive to what people actually want in their homes.

Google is rolling out a new update to its restaurant recommendations feature. The update combines user reviews with insights from Google’s Gemini AI model. This change aims to help people find better places to eat based on real experiences and smart analysis.

(Google’s Restaurant Recommendations Integrate User Reviews and Gemini Analysis.)

The system now looks at millions of user reviews across Google Maps and other sources. It uses Gemini to understand what people say about food quality, service, ambiance, and value. Instead of just showing star ratings, the feature highlights key points from reviews in simple language. For example, it might note that a place has “great tacos but slow service” or “quiet seating and friendly staff.”

This approach gives users a clearer picture before they decide where to go. Google says the goal is to cut through the noise of too many reviews and focus on what matters most to each person. The AI does not replace human opinions. It organizes them in a way that is easy to understand at a glance.

The update is live now for users in the United States on Android and iOS devices. It will expand to more countries in the coming weeks. People using Google Search or Google Maps to look for restaurants will see these enhanced summaries automatically. They can still read full reviews if they want more detail.

(Google’s Restaurant Recommendations Integrate User Reviews and Gemini Analysis.)

                 Google built this feature with privacy in mind. No personal data from users is shared with the AI model beyond what is already public in reviews. The company also worked with local business owners to make sure the summaries reflect fair and accurate portrayals of their restaurants.

Google has launched a new feature called SGE for Artistic Techniques. This tool is part of Google’s Search Generative Experience and aims to help artists and creators find reliable information about traditional and modern art methods. Users can now ask questions like “How do I use watercolor glazing?” or “What materials are needed for linocut printing?” and get clear, step-by-step guidance directly in search results.

                <a href="" target="_self" title="Google's "SGE for Artistic Techniques"">

(Google’s “SGE for Artistic Techniques”)

The feature pulls from trusted sources such as museum archives, educational platforms, and expert-led tutorials. It organizes the information in a simple format so users can quickly understand each technique. Google says this update responds to growing interest in hands-on creative learning online.

Artists often struggle to find accurate details about specific methods. Some online guides are incomplete or misleading. SGE for Artistic Techniques solves this by highlighting verified steps and materials. It also includes visual examples when available to support understanding.

The tool works on both mobile and desktop devices. It appears automatically when someone searches for an artistic process that matches Google’s database of known techniques. No extra setup is needed. People just type their question as they normally would.

Early feedback from beta testers has been positive. Many say the responses save time and reduce confusion. Teachers and students also report using it for classroom projects. Google plans to add more techniques over time based on user requests and emerging trends in art education.

                <a href="" target="_self" title="Google's "SGE for Artistic Techniques"">
<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-medium wp-image-5057 aligncenter" src="https://www.bpovoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/3cd52886a60a7db364daea2940024fd6.jpg" alt="Google's "SGE for Artistic Techniques" " width="380" height="250">

                 This launch is part of Google’s broader effort to make search more helpful for practical, real-world tasks. The company continues to refine how AI supports everyday creativity without replacing human skill or judgment.

Google has updated its guidance for structured data markup to help websites qualify for rich...

Google has updated its guidance for structured data markup to help websites qualify for rich results in search. Webmasters and content creators now have clearer rules on how to apply this markup correctly. Structured data helps search engines understand page content better. This can lead to enhanced listings like star ratings, event dates, or product prices directly in search results.

(Structured Data Markup: A Guide for Google Rich Results)

The new guide focuses on common errors that stop sites from getting rich results. It explains which schema types Google supports. It also shows how to test markup using the Rich Results Test tool. Google says correct implementation is key. Even small mistakes can cause rich result eligibility to be lost.

Many site owners use JSON-LD format for structured data. Google recommends this method because it is easy to maintain and less likely to break. The guide includes real examples for recipes, articles, FAQs, and local businesses. Each example shows required fields and optional ones. Missing required fields is a frequent reason for disqualification.

Google also warns against misleading or hidden markup. Pages must show users the same content that is marked up for search engines. If the visible content does not match the structured data, the page may be penalized. Spammy practices like stuffing irrelevant keywords into markup are not allowed.

                 Site owners should check their markup regularly. Changes to page design or content can affect structured data without notice. Google encourages using Search Console to monitor performance and fix issues quickly. Keeping markup accurate helps maintain visibility in search results.

Google has launched a new feature called App Indexing to help mobile apps show up...

Google has launched a new feature called App Indexing to help mobile apps show up in search results. This move aims to make it easier for people to find content inside apps when they search on their phones. Before this, Google mostly showed web pages in search results. Now, if someone searches for something that exists in an app they already have, Google can show that app content directly.

                <a href="" target="_self" title="Google's "App Indexing" for Mobile SEO">
<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-medium wp-image-5057 aligncenter" src="https://www.bpovoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/98d5574e517f61a4d1be0883f56e69db.jpg" alt="Google's "App Indexing" for Mobile SEO " width="380" height="250">

(Google’s “App Indexing” for Mobile SEO)

App Indexing works by connecting app content with matching web pages. Developers need to link their app screens to corresponding web URLs. Once that is done, Google can index the app content just like it does with websites. This means users might see deep links into apps right in their search results. If they tap one, it opens the exact spot in the app instead of a browser.

The feature is part of Google’s larger push to improve mobile search. More people use phones to search than desktops now. Google wants those searches to lead to the best experience possible. Showing app content when relevant helps users get what they need faster. It also gives app makers more visibility without extra advertising.

Developers must update their apps to support this. They need to add special code so Google can understand how app screens relate to web pages. Google provides tools and guides to make this process simple. Early adopters say it boosts user engagement because people go straight to the right place in the app.

                <a href="" target="_self" title="Google's "App Indexing" for Mobile SEO">
<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-medium wp-image-5057 aligncenter" src="https://www.bpovoice.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/3deeb7bb050d232cf9a98ed2cc7a2e3d.jpg" alt="Google's "App Indexing" for Mobile SEO " width="380" height="250">

(Google’s “App Indexing” for Mobile SEO)

                 Google says this change benefits everyone. Users get better results. App owners get more traffic. The search experience becomes more useful overall. App Indexing is now available for Android apps. Support for iOS is coming soon.

Google recently upgraded its AI search experience, now allowing users to directly ask follow-up questions from the “AI Overview” on the search results page and seamlessly switch to “AI Mode” for multi-turn, in-depth conversations.

(Google Logo)

At the same time, the default model for AI Overviews worldwide has been upgraded to the more powerful Gemini 3.0.

This update aims to distinguish between simple queries and complex exploratory scenarios. Users can not only quickly obtain instant information such as scores and weather but also engage in natural conversations to delve deeply into various topics.

Google stated that testing has confirmed that follow-up questions that preserve context significantly enhance the practicality of search, and the new design enables users to smoothly transition from brief summaries to deeper conversations.

This update connects with the recently launched “Personal Intelligence” feature, which leverages users’ personal data—such as Gmail and Photos—to enable the AI to provide personalized responses. These series of initiatives collectively drive Google Search’s ongoing evolution from a traditional list of results toward a dynamic, interactive intelligent assistant.

By lowering interaction barriers, Google not only improves user experience but also strengthens its strategic position as a gateway in the competitive landscape of intelligent service ecosystems.

Last Saturday, a large number of Gmail users encountered abnormal email system functions, with some users experiencing chaotic email classification and abnormal spam alerts in their inbox. Google subsequently confirmed that the issue had been fully fixed.

According to the official status panel records of Google Workspace, this malfunction began around 5am Pacific Time on Saturday. Affected users have reported that a large number of emails that should have been classified under tags such as “promotion” and “social” have flooded into the main inbox, while emails from known contacts have been mistakenly marked as spam. User feedback such as’ all spam emails go straight to inbox ‘and’ filtering system suddenly crashes’ appears on social media.

During the malfunction, Google continued to update the progress of its handling, and finally announced on Saturday evening that the service had been fully restored. The official statement stated, “Some users have encountered issues with misclassification and delayed reception of emails. Emails received during the malfunction period may temporarily still display incorrect spam labels

Google stated that it will release a detailed incident analysis report after completing an internal investigation. This malfunction occurred on January 24, 2026, and all services have now resumed normal operation.

While swift restoration shows robust infrastructure, persistent misclassification risks eroding user trust—highlighting the need for more resilient AI-driven email management frameworks.

Google helps people stay focused at work. The company added new Digital Wellbeing tools to its Workspace apps. These tools are now in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet.

The goal is to reduce distractions. People can set specific “work hours” in their apps. During these hours, notifications get quieter. Less important alerts might not show up at all. Users can also turn off notifications completely for periods. This helps people concentrate on their tasks.

Google understands constant pings are disruptive. Employees feel pressured to always be available. This makes it hard to get deep work done. The new settings give users more control. They can block out time for focused work without interruptions.

Managers can encourage their teams to use these features. It helps everyone find better balance. Less distraction means better productivity during work hours. People might feel less stressed too.

                 These tools build on Google’s existing Digital Wellbeing features. Those features mostly helped with personal phone use. Now, Google brings similar focus tools to the workplace. The features are rolling out now to Workspace users.
