I am no expert in anything, I am no PHD done, kind of a person but in 10 years of my work experience I know few things and as always sharing it with you. This time it’s good one, Why people open Call center (worst reasons). Well I know few and here they are
1. MY friend got one :- Yes it happens, My friend and I was in same call center now he started his own call center of 20 seats so WHY CANT I. I was in same call center where he learned everything. So now I will also open 20 seat call center and earn as much as he do now a days.
Outcome :- I am not trying to be harsh or anything but MAN You are Stupid. It’s always been a bad reason to start something because your friends are doing it. To open a call center is not a Joke, you need a very very strong Business skills and if this is your thinking then trust me u don’t have any and if you have, then may be your reason is wrong.
2. Environment is good and beautiful :- O man I see people start call center because they have seen its agents doing party and things like that. They think its very refreshing as they have money so lets start one. it will be nice to have Good looking guys and beautiful girls in office. Working environment will be Awesome.
Outcome :- Are you kidding me the only organization where company earn because of Good looking guys and beautiful girls is Cinema or modeling industry. There is no way you can get success anywhere without talented employees and looks have nothing to do with talent, if you don’t have Talented Employees then you and all your good looking plans are doomed. The first reason India become a biggest outsourcing country is because of Talented manpower. So if you are looking for business with Good looking guys and beautiful girls then Modeling institute is good for you don’t spoil you money in Call center.
3. Consultant Told me to :- trust me in this fault is not fully your. One of consultant you met online suggest you to do this as you have your current business running well and now you want to spread your wings. But still this is not a good reason to start call center, Let me tell you WHY. A) You don’t know anything about this Industry. B) Online consultants can’t be trusted until they are related to any reputed organization or you met then personally.
Outcome :- Very huge Chance that any Consultant show you big picture about call center industries and how much income is there and how will he help you in that and bla bla. Don’t listen to then, trust me it will be very hard for you not to believe them as they are Best in what they do and that is “Convince people like you to invest money and in end they are the only one who earn money out of this “ .
4. Quick Money :- This is one of the biggest and worst reason to start call center. Trust me when I tell you this, There is no such thing as Quick Money in this Industry or any other. Call center industry is not a Joke as everyone think it is. Trust me Friend Call center is one of the toughest business in market and running it is not piece of cake, In this work pressure is more than enough to make you frustrated within week. If you are capable to run Call center in Loss for 3-4 months then only you have chance to run call successfully for long term .
Outcome :- Center Closed in 23-6 months because they realize that there is no such thing like fast money in Call center
Suggestion :- It just a Suggestion or take it as an humble request from my Side, Please don’t start call center until you are Sure about it and Until you don’t know anything about Predictive Dialer, VoIP Minutes, Technology and How it really work. As the saying goes, failing to plan is planning to fail.
