Perceiving the financial sector, we state that it has much distance to industry in terms of outsourcing. While the proportion of in-house value added is about 50-80 percent in the banking sector, for industry the same figure is about 25 percent. However, "if you don't do it, you won't survive", as Daniel Marovitz said. Especially the financial crisis should motivate the banks to outsorce operations in order to save costs and specialize on their core business. If we consider that in bigger institutions IT expenses can even reach 15 percent of the revenues, this is a resonable amount which could be reduced.
