Well much as most of the BPO services have been offered by China,India and other countries due to the cheap labor and the well developed infrastructure i believe the trend is about to change because of the following reasons;
Most African countries have the colonial languages such as English, French ,German etc being taught from the start of school till end and vastly spoken in their countries where as in other countries these are optional.
Secondly recently the East African coast celebrated the landing of the undersea Optic Fiber Cable that is believe to reduce the cost of telecommunication by 70% making the cost of infrastructural development lower than before. If there is a reductions in Bandwidth cost then this will enable investment with in the industry in Africa since High Bandwidth costs were hindering investments.
Thirdly the aspect of available labor is key due to the majority of unemployed University students on the streets of African Capitals.
So As an African i believe we can compete favorably with other players in the BPO industry
