"NEW DELHI: The verdict is finally out and its official - It's BPO vs. MBA, it is a tussle between earning fast bucks and secure future. A deeper realisation is sinking among the BPO executives that in the process of earning fast bucks, they are missing out on options that might lead to a better future. Better salary, regulated work hours and a secure future is what is driving most of the people employed with the BPO industry to venture out to pursue an MBA degree with specialisation in sectors like HR or Finance. A recent survey has pointed out that about one third of BPO executives in India are eager for an MBA degree.

And the latest mantra followed by BPO firms to retain quality employees are the company-financed MBA programmes being doled out. Employees can now plan their career curve while maintaining well paying, full time jobs. The urge in employees to go in for MBA programmes has compelled many BPO firms to sketch a new HR policy.
