EquaTerra today announces that Brian Walker has joined the company to lead its Information Technology (IT) Consulting practice as Managing Director. The IT Consulting practice helps clients define and implement strategies that result in durable, measurable improvements to their IT portfolios.
“Clients are faced with financial pressures to reduce costs despite the increasing operational and commercial complexities they face,” says Walker. “The IT Consulting practice helps clients realize optimal performance using strategies and techniques that are time-tested and proven.” Walker’s team will initially focus in the areas of IT strategy, operational optimization and enterprise resource planning (ERP) advisory services, with other services to be announced in the coming months.
Walker joins EquaTerra from Marathon Oil where he launched the global IT team responsible for delivering services to 15,000 users in 220 global locations. In this capacity, he significantly improved the performance of the company’s multiple outsourcing providers and internal staff.
Previously, Walker was an executive with EDS – leading the Americas Energy team. In addition, he brings experience from Accenture and Capgemini – where he was a senior leader providing complex transformational consulting services to global clients.
“Brian’s experiences as a client, consultant and outsourcing provider give him a unique, pragmatic perspective on how to help companies identify and experience measurable improvements in their effectiveness,” says Peter Iannone, Executive Director of EquaTerra Americas.
