Aegis Limited, a leading global business process outsourcing (BPO) provider and part of the Essar Group, has been ranked 21 in the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®) Global Outsourcing® 100. This is an improvement over its ranking of 26 in 2009.
The Global Outsourcing 100®, now in its fifth year, is an independently judged, opt-in ranking of the world’s best outsourcing service providers that has become an important resource to help companies compare providers and advisors using an objective methodology.
“We are delighted to be recognized by our peers for being the leading outsourcing player globally. This ranking is a testimony to our unflinching customer-centric focus. Over the years, we have invested substantially in building capabilities and processes, which has made us an integral part in delivering the crucial ‘customer lifecycle management services’ to our customers. This year, Aegis comes fourth among the list of pure play contact centers worldwide. This ranking is also an endorsement of the commitment and dedication of the 39,000 Aegisites who deliver an outstanding service experience to our customers,” said Aparup Sengupta, Managing Director and Global CEO, Aegis Ltd.

“As the economy recovers, partnering with the world’s best outsourcing providers and advisors will be more important than ever,” said Michael Corbett, IAOP
chairman and chair of the judges’ panel. “The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World’s Best Outsourcing advisors help companies easily identify those partners that will help them emerge as leaders.”
“Being named to The Global Outsourcing 100 and The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors is a great recognition, particularly given the strong competition, and these companies should be proud of achieving excellence in outsourcing,” Corbett said.
The Global Outsourcing 100, which includes both "leaders” and "rising stars," employs a ranking system that mimics the qualifying process companies use to select vendors. After being rated according to 18 criteria, final rankings are determined by a weighted average of judges’ scores on size and growth rate, customer references, documented competencies and management capabilities.
