Cumbley explains “One of the biggest problem areas for deals gone wrong is where advisors have squeezed perfectly sensible commercial arrangements to fit the kind of model they are used to.”
While it may sound obvious, the customer is responsible for identifying his ‘metrics’ and expectations at the beginning of the deal – whether this is driving efficiencies or reducing FTEs. If a customer can clearly articulate what they want, a supplier will have more of a fighting chance in delivering real value.
