BPO Voice: Business Process Outsourcing, Call Center Outsourcing

Call Center Services, Outsourcing Services, Outsourcing Projects

Hi Guys,

I have proposed two additions to the BPOVoice team to add and enforce in their Forum Guidelines.

The proposed additions are as follows :

Any defamatory post without supporting evidence should be deleted by the admins within 24 hours. The same should be communicated to the member who posted, to give them sufficient time to upload the proofs

Enforce use of real name (personal or professional) to create better trust among members

Inviting your opinion on the same.

An interesting thought, but who decides what evidence is valid and what evidence is not? (I have the feeling that the bpo voice guys will not jump eagerly at that one.)

As things are now everyone has the right to respond. Is it the job of a social website to decide who is right and who is wrong, guilty or innocent?

Then there is the question of defining the term 'supporting evidence'...............man, don't even go there.

A little more professionalism is all that is required, but having said that everyone blows off a little steam now and again.

Steve, A little steam and using 4 letter words is way different. Honestly some of the comments make one squirm and wonder are we in a professional world or in a world of hooligans.

Having said that, yes its a tough debate but somewhere we need to start I believe

Why not simply ignore them?

Would that not be far more effective in terms of setting a more professional standard?

Steve, yes we can. But then if this continues guess a lot of us will gradually move out of the forum. I certainly will as this forum without guidelines will turn into another callcentreromania where people do not talk without 4 letter words :)
I just realised how important this discussion is. There was a discussion which started some hours back calling someone from this forum a "probable fraud" with no iota of evidence except a hunch which honestly seemed far fetched by any condition. The discussions seems to have been deleted since then, which is good.
I do not know either parties but I just realised its easy to defame someone and as much as we need to avoid frauds and help identify them, we should use proof to prove the same or at least give the background of the story, so people can make an educated choice.
Let this forum NOT BECOME a court which proves "guilty till proven innocent"

I am not naming either parties (the person who was defamed or the person who made the allegations) as it wont do any good.

Now that sounds interesting "provide the background to the story so that people can make up their own minds."

There is one other obvious observation: "You only run the risk of getting ripped-off if you are daft enough to pay."

In answer to those people who would argue: "But how do we get processes if we don't pay?"

Learn business development, both how to search and how to develop.

Steve, Now you are making me laugh!!!!!! Do business development? Have you ever seen the language they write? If you cannot write a sentence in english without making 5000 mistakes just how in God's name do you expect to do business development? I actually wrote a blog on it called "mind your p's and q's"

Of course, its equally hilarious to find that many centres who start off, do not have a business plan, projection, or anything except tons of money...

They are what I call "waiting to be hustled" team. Its like they beckon out to the hustlers, please come and rob me.

And yes I agree with you, that if they are daft enough to pay, you do run the risk. But then who will bell the cat and tell them that this is the price for stupidity ??
Catching up with the replies ,had lot of work load in last couple of days :-(
let me see where to start....

Steve is right , when he says its not in the purview of a social media site to be judgmental of the posts or discussion, they are just the platform provider and promoter... However it is in their Purview to see if their platform is not being misused by others (and throw the overall quality of the level of discussions for a toss).. otherwise this will affect their branding and upset their advertisers etc.

Now to the main issue, the reason why i am for any supporting evidence, this will at least keep those at bay who try to misuse a public forum for settling their personal issues which has nothing to do with the industry or the other forum members...

Information about the fraud is important, however equally important is that the untainted guys don't get into the firing line ... This is a tough debate however somewhere we have to draw the line

Priya: Even i saw that post.. That was a useless post .. It seemed to me he started a discussion just for the heck of it.. Don't know how it got deleted.. anyways the lesser baseless posts we see the better it is for the forum...

The things which i have suggested may or may not improve the quality of the discussions at least it will stop its gradual decrease.....

And steve, ignoring them will embolden them... we need to stop them somewhere..
Honestly if I was the alleged fraud mentioned, I would have sued that guy for every penny he ever had and will have...You cannot misuse a forum for your whims and fancies or to write nonsense
If you remember the content of that post, it was mainly that the guy said he is from SA whereas , the other guy posted the so called proof of him being from UP ...At the every best , you can call them unprofessionals, they don't know how to conduct a business, however to label them as frauds is like stretching the line a little too far !
