Don't get me wrong, it's true. He appreciates the idea of outsourcing which is why he wants to shut down the department which keeps a count on how many jobs gets outsourced each year which Unnecessarily used to give mileage to the press to attack him on outsourcing.

Washington Post reports :

"Like a scorekeeper for the world, a tiny unit within the Bureau of Labor Statistics tracks globalization's winners and losers, and the results are not always pretty for the United States. Manufacturing jobs here, for example, have fallen faster since 1979 than in Canada, Germany or Japan. Compensation for those jobs dropped here in 2008 but jumped in South Korea and Australia.

Soon, however, Americans may be spared the demoralization in these numbers: The White House wants to shutter the unit that produces them.

President Obama's budget would eliminate the International Labor Comparisons office and transfer its 16 economists to expand the bureau's work tracking inflation and occupational trends."

This will save the US govt. $2 million and save the president from the Criticism arising out of their reports ... We love you Obama!

President Obama was attacking outsourcing and its effect on the US economy long before he was voted into power. To believe that the comparison figures will simply go away because the US government shuts down some obscure office is nonsense and the President is well aware of this. Why spend two million a year when the same information is available from so many other sources. Some might call this good housekeeping.

As for his so called love of outsourcing, does anyone seriously think that the US will allow itself to become the worlds second or third largest economic power.

Loving President Obama to much right now is very premature.
