Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Business Development

In recent months we have been asked many times to develop a training course that focuses solely on bpo business development. Not a ‘rough guide’ or a list of things ‘not to do’ but rather a step by step professional and effective approach.

Question: “Would you be interested in such a course were it available?”

Assuming that there is sufficient interest we would expect the course to be ready by late April or early May, that delivery would be audio / visual live online, and that there would be a fee.

Question: “Based on your own business development experiences what information would you like to see included?

Congratulations Everyone!

So you all know about business development, thats great news.

Just for fun why not try our simple test:

a) Name the ten websites you visit regularly in order to check out new processes posted?
b) How many companies have you approached directly in the last month with regard to business process outsourcing?
c) List the number of companies with whom you are currently negotiating?
d) Do you consider business development to be one of your key skills?

So how did you do?

steve you have asked some real hard hitting questions.. everyone who wishes to get a process needs to do the hard work...
here is what i want to know :

What is the right approach while presenting my company?
What is the success ratio (as lets say) if i approach 100 companies who outsource, what are my chances if i take the right approach?
Are there any verified brokers who broker processes? how to know they are genuine and how to deal with them?
One important Thing: what is it that most companies who outsource look for (just the cost advantage, reliable name, previous clients or any thing else)

PS: Is it right to assume that each and every company in the west can outsource provided you can make them see the profits..

With the exception of yourself no one on this site appears to be interested in business development, and I'm not about to start providing business development training for free.

If people want to give their money away to bogus process brokers rather than learn how to succeed in this industry of ours - let them do it.

As for the questions you've asked, send me your company intro & profile, let's take it one step at a time.

Hi,

This is raja from chennai. Im a new born baby in this outsourcing business and currently running a small unit in chennai for the past 6 months.

I used to think about my business and its development with my 2 year business plan. But When it comes to reality i could'nt able to convert my thoughts in to actions.

I don't know how to approach a company or client for my business. I don't know whom i should meet in the company and how to enter in to the company. If i mail them with my profile and services i offer, i don't know how far they will respond to my mail.

I used to visit some sites often for projects, but there again upfront stands first!!!!!!!!!!!

Please guide me how i can improve my business in the coming years??
