Many people / centres / consultants / freelancers / companies are calling me on a daily basis and enquiry lot about many things.
The thing which I have noticed is that , this time more than the BPO Projects, people are enquiring more about other people or consultants or companies. So what I see from here is there is a total paradigm shift in the small & Midsize BPO industry recently.
The possible reasons for this certain ( rather uncertain) shift according to me would be the huge gap in the demand and supply ratio of the BPO Projects. There are thousands of BPO centres located in each and every part of the country and the equal amount of centres are opening on daily basis. So the demand for the projects is raising on a daily basis but the supply of projects from the domestic or international market is only a part of it; which is not even capable of fulfilling half of the demand.
One more peculiar thing I have noticed is that – Many BPO Centres enquire about some projects or the consultants who claims to be having one , and just because of some wrong information about them, they drop it off at a very early stage, rather than pursuing it at a deep level. In many a case after clearing the air at a initial level , most of the projects really turns out to be workable with some good returns.
I really don’t have any idea about the projects which are flowing in the market from Malaysia, Mauritus, Singapore, UK or any other part, but one thing I know is we are really moving in some wrong direction at some point.
I have also met some people dealing in the official govt. departments and handle many small BPO projects from govt. and the work as well as the projects really seems attractive at that level.
Some very good projects which are currently flowing from governments bowl are :-
1) Different type of data entry and digitization in NREGA ( Nation Rural Employment Gurantee Act).
2) Various types of survey , data entry and project report making projects of govt. plans for women empowerment.
3) Liasoning, data entry & distribution of computers at a cheaper rate under the scheme of BSNL.
4) Various small project of data entry under the UID Project.
Apart from it, there are many small and big projects which are on its way to enter into the market.
My friendly advise is to refrain from the international projects for the time being and focus more on the Potential of the domestic BPO market.
Looking forward for any further info on recent happenings..frauds , business, projects , ventures , feedback or any other info in the “Great Indian BPO Market”..
Waiting for your replies.
